5 Unique Ways of Discovering a Great Domain That Has Not Been Registered

When asked why they are still finding it difficult to make headway in their online businesses, some newbies often attribute their difficulties to the lack of a great domain name. They complain to anyone that cares to listen that all the great domain names out there have been taken.

But this isn't true. The truth is even in these highly competitive niches, you can still come up with original domain names that are really appealing for businesses. There are domain registration and naming strategies and tactics a lot of domain speculators use which you as a web designer or website owner could also use to come up with some great domain names. They include:

1. Try Varying Real Words

You can come up with a great domain name by varying or playing with real words. This was how search-engine giant, Google was formed. The name Google was just a play with the word googol.

According to Google's News Center, the word Googol actually refers to a number 1 followed by one hundred zeroes. And it was even coined by a gifted 9 yr old kid who was actually a nephew to Edward Kasner, a renowned mathematician.

This is a quick hint a smart netprenuer can draw from this is simple, if you are looking for a creative name for your online domain or business, nothing prevents you from consulting a smart kid. After all, that's what Google did.

2. Think Of Popular Slangs

These days there are lots of slangs gaining huge popularity in our society which you can use to create a good domain for your business. With slangs, you need to just give your memory and imaginations the wings they need to run wild in search for popular slangs or expressions that sound pleasing to the ear, are easily recognizable or remembered.

3. Try Going Symbolic

Let’s say you're part of a group of in-house experts on the horror games genre who will like to set up a paid online membership community for fans of the horror movies or games genre. Some domains you might likely want to consider are www.Hoorrornet.com, www.Horrorific.com and www.Horrorgate.com which have all been taken at the moment.

4. Focus On Your Results

If people were to buy any of the products or services you were offering on your websites, what would be their end results or outcome? What will they achieve for doing so? How would they really feel? This could be a trigger for coming up with a great name for a domain.

5. Always Lookout for Puns

You can dig up several lists of keywords that are relevant to your chosen niches and start to play around with them. You could do that by saying each of these words aloud and playing with their sounds.

Puns are likely going to be available compared to other words as they are component parts of the keywords and not the actual keywords themselves.

Now you have no excuse of starting that online business you’ve always wanted. Just contact a web design company in your area and start immediately.
